How It All Began - The Story of LVADLINE

Michał claimed he had tested all the available shirts for HeartMate patients, but none met his expectations. That’s how the first project—lvadshirt.com—was born. Over time, more and more people started asking about the shirt. We received messages from all over the world, and the small store Michał had built was becoming too limited.

Michał was fulfilling his dreams, traveling, and living life to the fullest. However, he had one unfulfilled wish—to take a dip in a swimming pool. Then one day, the phone rang—a heart was available for him.

Following the transplant, unexpected complications arose. Michał passed away.

We tried to continue his projects but suddenly found ourselves responsible for things far beyond our knowledge. Legal matters, claims, pressure—it was overwhelming. We finished everything, closed all pending issues—it took years. During this time, I neglected sewing the shirts. I neglected myself. I paid the price with depression.

For a long time, I denied what was happening to me. I thought that constantly losing weight was just part of who I was, that crying all the time was simply my nature. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Diagnosis, treatment—six months later, I stepped onto the scale. 60 kg. I couldn’t believe it. I checked again, and yes, the number stayed the same. The weight was perfect for my height.

Years earlier, I had given away all the clothes that were too big for me. But today, I stand before my wardrobe, wondering—what still fits me now?

I want to share this journey with you.
I want to show the reality of life with LVAD.
I want to test clothing for people who carry heart batteries and see how it works in practice.

LVADLINE is more than just shirts.
It is a community, a place of support, where LVAD users can find something that truly works for them—whether in terms of comfort or a sense of belonging. Michał believed in our success. We believe we can continue to help.

This is just the beginning of our shared story.
I invite you to follow this blog, explore our clothing, and share your own experiences! ?

Does this translation match what you envisioned? Let me know if you'd like me to adjust anything! ?
